What's new in v0.13.0
A grid view, a new profile editor, and spots for everyone
The map has a grid view: the people and spots around you as tiles. Your profile has a new editor, with Fucking, Sucking, Meeting and Expression. And everyone can use a spot now, photos included. Everything else that changed, from the whole country on the map to notes on people, is below.
The map and spots
- The map covers the whole country, not just Colorado, with thousands of cruising spots already on it.
- More kinds of spot: locker rooms, arcades, parking lots, cruising grounds and campgrounds each have their own.
- Everyone can use a spot now, Anonymous and Pending included: check in, say On my way, leave a tip, flag it, post from it.
- Spots have photos. Add one from the spot's menu.
- Star a spot to keep it. Your starred spots get their own tab on the Wall.
- Every spot has a Wall of its own: posts from the people checked in there.
- Too far away to check in? Tap On my way and say when you'll get there.
- Directions open your phone's maps app, from a spot's card or its page.
- A spot can carry its own phone number and website. Report a spot, or its details, from its menu.
- Groups on the map always show how many people are in them, and nothing stacks on top of anything else.
- A pin you dropped by hand can go back to where your phone is.
The grid
- The map has a grid view: the people and spots around you as tiles, nearest first. The button beside the search switches between them, and whichever you used last is what you open to.
- A spot's tile shows what it is, how far, who's there, when someone last checked in and how busy its Wall is, with a tick when it's verified. Tap its type to read about that kind of place, its distance to see it on the map.
- A person's tile has their position, status, the map, Tap or Knock, and their profile, all one tap away.
- Back works the way you'd expect: from a card to the grid, from a popup to wherever you were.
You and your profile
- A new profile editor in three parts: About you, Statistics and Preferences, each a tap from your menu.
- Say what you're into: Fucking, with where you sit from Top to Bottom, and Sucking, receive, give or both. Sucking without Fucking makes your badge Side, with an arrow for which way.
- Meeting: host only, prefer to host, prefer to travel, meet out or travel only.
- Expression is one choice, Masc through Sissy, or Fluid.
- Every icon for a person says the same things the same way: online, their tier, their status, their position, their standing.
- Settings that are one choice look alike everywhere, and so do switches.
- Upload a photo and its settings open right away: mark it SFW or make it your main one. Album photos have the same settings, and can move to your profile.
- Share an album straight from it, and see when someone last looked.
- Tile size, how vague your pin is, sits with Show on the map in Visibility.
- Text boxes grow as you type.
Building the network
- Review 5 people at the Gate or bring in 5 who get vetted in any 30 days, and Plus is free for the next 30.
- Your circle: everyone down your line of vouches who got vetted, as one number, with badges at 10, 50 and 250.
- Gatekeeper levels show as badges at the Gate, like your circle's.
- Add places to the map to earn the Scout, Tracker and Trailblazer badges.
- The Invite button sits on the map beside Status.
Chat and people
- Your Inbox keeps its tabs in view while you read a thread, and the threads tab is called Messages.
- With Plus, keep a private note on anyone: a name only you see, a rating, vibes and warnings. Save numbers and addresses from a chat into it, and export it as a phone contact. Saving a note takes you back to them.
- With Plus, filter for people who can host or can travel, and see who looked at you.
- Phone numbers, emails and addresses in a message are links: tap to call, write, or open your maps app.
- Change your quick replies in Settings.
- Gone ghost, you're still reachable by the people you already talk to.
Getting around
- Every release tells you once what's new, with a page of its own. Turn that off under New releases in Notifications.
- The app checks for a new version when you come back to it, so an update shows up sooner.
- The map opens faster: the first screen loads only what it draws.
- Sign in with a passkey: your face, fingerprint or PIN, no email link. After an email sign-in, the app offers to save one.
- A short tour walks you through the Gate, the Wall, the Inbox, the map, the grid and statuses. Find it again at the top of Learn more.
- Learn more has guides to cruising, staying safe and how this place works, and they open before you sign in too. The Safety Center has quick exit and emergency numbers.
- Private things blur when you switch apps, and a private photo carries the handle of whoever's looking at it.
- Announcements from Feral Mode show behind the bell.
- When the rules, the Terms or the Privacy Policy change, you're asked to accept them again.
- Something broken? Report a bug from the menu or the bug button on the map.
Before you join
- Every city has a public page with a live snapshot of its map, and How it works explains the app to anyone thinking of coming in.
