What's new
Every release, newest first. The app updates itself: reopen it to get the latest.
Partners, chat search and events that meet up
Say who you're partnered with, find any chat in seconds, and get to an event with Meet. A message nobody has seen no longer disappears, and everything else that changed is below.
Profiles
- Turn on Partnered in About you and add up to five partners, each with what they are to you: Partner, Boyfriend, Husband, Fiancé, Daddy, Sir, Boy, Pup, Handler or Play partner.
- Name a member as your partner and they're asked to confirm. Until they do, only you see who you named. They can unlink any time.
- Your profile reads like "Partnered: Husband (rex), Pup", with a confirmed partner linking to theirs.
- Pup and furry join the Into tags.
- Fansly joins the socials.
- On Android, a Telegram or Snapchat link opens that app at the person.
Chat
- Search your chats: the search button beside the list's sort finds a handle, a group's or event's name, or the words of a message, across your whole history.
- In a one-to-one chat, a message no longer expires before the other person has seen it. Its days start once they do.
- A message you can't see no longer leaves your Inbox saying it's unread.
- If a photo doesn't go through, the chat says so, and a dropped upload tries again on its own.
- Clear called-off events out of Chat, one at a time or all at once.
- Right-click a message, a tile, a pin or the map on a computer for the same menu a long press opens.
- Every person, spot, event and group named in the app links to its page.
Events and Meet
- A repeating event makes its next date only once this one is over. The guest list carries over, and everyone is asked again each time.
- Events are In person or Virtual, each with its address or link, shown to whoever's in.
- Before an in-person event starts, the host can send Meet requests to the guests. Tap On my way and the host sees you coming. If the host keeps the address for Meet, you get it as you set off.
- Your meets and live events sit in Happening now, above the tab bar on every screen. A meet stays there after you meet until you end it.
- Tell a friend now gets updates as your meet moves along.
- Hosts see who they've invited on its own tab of the guest list.
Getting in and the Gate
- Clips that were turned down put you back to Eligible until you send new ones.
- Help the people you vouched for get to the Gate with a nudge from Your people.
- The Gate's Anonymous tab shows when each person was last seen.
Everything else
- Report a bug or request a feature is one sheet now, with a tab for each.
- Mention someone with @ in a bug report or a report.
- Away a day or more with something waiting? You'll get a short email with what's there. Counts and names only, never what anyone wrote. Turn it off in Settings › Notifications.
- Vetted members can add a photo to a Wall post.
- Your notes on people take your own word tags, with warnings at the end.
- Pick a sound under the Sounds switch.
- Save and Cancel stay in view at the bottom of every form.
- Feral Mode Gear and Feral Mode Studio are on the You menu.
- The Terms and Privacy Policy are updated.
Meet: plans that end face to face
Meet is here: plan it in the chat, see them coming, and know the place is real. Every card shows who actually shows up, and saying no never counts against you. Socials on profiles, repeating events and everything else that changed are below.
Meet
- In a one-to-one chat with another vetted member, tap + and pick Meet: now or later, at your place, theirs, or a spot. They accept, change or decline from a card in the chat.
- On my way is the commitment. The place opens to whoever's coming, and the host sees their dot and arrival time. Directions open in your own maps app.
- Hosting, your place comes from your phone, with a pin you can drag up to 50 m onto your door. No address field. The person coming sees whether your phone is really there, and the address stays hidden if it isn't.
- Door notes (unit, buzzer, which door) show only when they arrive. Then both of you confirm you're together, with a three-digit code if the phones can't tell.
- Where you are stays between the two phones. It's locked on one and opened on the other; our server only passes it along and keeps none of it. No moderator ever sees where anyone was.
- Every member's card shows a Shows up line, like "Shows up · 9 of their last 10". Only meets that happened and no-shows count. Saying no, calling it off, "I don't feel safe" and changing your mind at the door never do.
- A no-show is recorded only after the one left waiting is asked Did they show?, and you can say what happened. Three in 30 days pause Meet for a while.
- Tell a friend sends one person a private link with the time, who you're meeting and the place, and a check-in for when you're fine. No account needed, and we can't read it.
- After you meet, you're asked privately whether they're the person in their photos. They never see your answer.
- Meet at a spot and you both travel, each sharing with the other once you set off.
- The whole thing, with pictures: Meet: from yes to face to face.
Profiles and chat
- Add your social usernames to your profile, shown to everyone or only to people you pick. Share them from a chat's + menu and take them back any time.
- @mention someone in a group or event chat, or on the Wall.
- With Plus, show as Away.
- React to statuses on the Wall: Looking, Hosting, At a spot, Traveling and On my way.
- Picking a video shows the length limit, the formats and the rules first.
- In Taps, tap someone again right from their row.
- Notes have a Play type, with Toxic among them, above your warnings.
- Favorites and stars wait until you're vetted.
- One broken conversation no longer stops the rest of your Inbox from loading.
- On an iPhone home-screen app, your pin follows your phone again.
Events
- Events can repeat: daily, weekly, every two weeks or monthly, each date with its own guest list and chat.
- Invitations come by email too, ready to add to your calendar.
Getting in and the Gate
- Vouched for but no clips sent yet, you're Eligible, still on the Anonymous map, until you record them. A vouch never runs out.
- Recording your clips needs a public photo first.
- The Gate has Pending, Eligible and Anonymous tabs, so you can reach out to people at each step.
- When someone takes your skip-vetting invite, you're told they're in.
- Invites are named for who they're for, and an emailed invite shows where it went, with Send again.
- The Chain shows this month's leaders beside your own number, and its lists sort and filter.
- You get an email when you're welcomed in and when your clips are reviewed.
Everything else
- A quiet map opens on the grid until you pick a view.
- Tabs and headers stay in view while you scroll, everywhere.
- Report a bug and get it fixed, and the app thanks you.
- Not a member yet? Opening the app without an account finds your city, with How it works and the Safety Center there to read first.
Replies, Favorites, and a home for your groups
Reply to a message in chat or quote a post on the Wall. Favorites is your phone book now, and your groups and events have a page of their own. Everything else that changed is below.
Chat
- Reply to one message from its long press. The quote sits on top of your reply and says so once the original is gone.
- With Plus, change the words of a message you sent, or delete it for everyone, for 15 minutes after sending. An edited message says "edited".
- Pin a conversation to the top of Chat from its "..." menu. Only you see it pinned.
- Messages is now Chat. Requests is a row on top of it while message requests or knocks wait.
- The filters are icons now, and Online now shows who's on right now. Every filter but All is Plus.
- Reactions say who reacted: "You, ana and 2 others".
- Older messages load as you scroll up, and you keep your place.
- Event and group chats have a "..." menu like a person's, and their mark shows when an event is on, called off, or a group is closed.
The Wall and Favorites
- Reply to a post: the reply button quotes it, and your reply is a post of its own.
- React to posts, with the same picker as chat.
- Posts stay where they were posted. A new post no longer drags someone's older ones down with it.
- With nothing near you, the Wall shows Denver's and says so.
- The Wall's Spots tab is now Favorites, with Cruisers and Spots. Star people and spots from any tile or Wall row.
- Cruisers is a phone book of the people you starred: Message, plus Call, Text, Email and Directions from your Notes on them. Spots carry the place's phone, website and Directions.
- Put both lists in your own order with Edit order. Send any of them to your phone's Contacts with the Contact button.
- With Plus, see who favorited you back.
- One Sort control for the Wall, the Gate, Favorites and the Inbox, remembered for each list.
Events and groups
- You › Groups and events lists everything you host, are in, asked to join or are invited to, wherever the map is. Accept an invite right there.
- Events and groups show in the grid among people and spots, nearest first.
- The bar over the map lists the events and groups in view.
- A new group sits near where it was started, not in the middle of its city.
- An event can have a description of up to 5,000 characters, with headings, bold, lists and links, and a preview as you write.
- Tiles show an event's photo or a group's cover, or a pattern of their own, with Join or Ask to join beside the map pin.
- Search finds groups and events.
Profiles, the map and the grid
- In a 1:1 chat, Show my full profile lets someone without Plus open your full profile until you take it back. Only the newest card you send works.
- Message sits beside a person's pin, on their tile and their profile.
- A profile names the region someone's in now, above Vouched by.
- Standing badges sit right before a handle, each kind in its own color.
- Someone who was removed shows nowhere you look: the chain says "A member", and old notices say "Someone".
- Ghost mode moves bottom left, in reach of your thumb. Coming back shows Undo for a few seconds.
- Map and grid are one switch. The grid sorts by Nearest, Newest, Most active or Popular, and a spot shows when someone last checked in.
- Search finds you too, and a handle typed in full comes first.
- Filters: the ones for cruisers only have their own section, the button says Show results, and Who looked is a filter of its own. Favorites shows on the map too.
- Putting your pin anywhere by hand is Plus.
- Tap anywhere on a switch row to flip it.
Getting in
- Sign-up picks up where you left off after a reload, code box and all.
- Where you are is the first step, and every screen says which step you're on.
- Stop partway and a reminder email brings you back with a sign-in link. Four at most.
- When you vouch for someone, the link can go to their email straight away, and signing up from it asks for no code.
- Every waiting member gets reviewers at the Gate: the nearest ones, if nobody is in range.
Everything else
- Share a Learn or Safety article into a chat from the button in its header.
- Learn more has Install as an app, with the steps for iPhone, Android and computers. Every How it works article has pictures.
- Your data's zip holds everything kept about you, Wall posts, taps, blocks, invites and vetting included.
- Past events and closed groups are deleted 30 days on, with their chats and photos.
- A screen that crashes offers Update instead of a bare error, and tapping the version in the header checks for one.
- You: Refresh and Sign out sit in a footer, and Account has Ways back in at the top. Invites has three tabs, each with its button in the footer.
Events and groups, each with a chat of its own
Post an event and let people in, or start a group for your city. Each one has a chat of its own, run by whoever started it. Reactions on messages, photos in the order you choose, and everything else that changed are below.
Events
- Post an event from a long press on the map (Start an event here), the calendar button in the grid, or Make it an event while you're Hosting.
- Say when it starts and ends (up to a day long, up to two weeks ahead), how many can come, who gets in (anyone trusted, you approve each one, or invite only), your rules and tags.
- The map shows a blurred block, never your address, with a countdown to the start. You give the address in the event's chat.
- Asking in? The host sees your profile and lets you in or not. A no is silent.
- Hosts invite people they've messaged, and can take someone off the list.
- Add an event to your calendar: Apple, Outlook or Google. It says "Plans" and the time unless you choose to show what it is.
- An event can have a photo: safe for work, and never your place. You pick whether everyone sees it or only whoever's in.
- Learn more has How events work.
Groups
- Start a group for your city from a long press on the map or the people button in the grid. It sits on the map at the city, never at anyone's place.
- Open, ask to join or invite only. Admins let people in, invite, make others admins, set a cover and post the group's events.
- Only members see who's in. Show a group on your profile if you like; it's off until you turn it on.
- Groups have a layer on the map, and events and groups each have a switch in Notifications.
- Learn more has How groups work.
Event and group chats
- Everyone who's in is in the chat, with names over the messages.
- Whoever runs it pins a message, deletes one, mutes someone for a day or removes them, all from a long press.
- Report any message there from its long press.
Chat
- React to a message: a long press, or the face beside the time on a computer. The usual six, then 😈🛐🥵🍆💦, or any emoji.
- A thread with something new stands out in your Inbox.
- A new notification flashes at the top of the screen for a few seconds. Tap it to open it.
- Anyone whose account is gone leaves your Inbox, your taps and knocks, your notes and Who looked.
- With "Only people you've messaged" on, the people you talk to can see you again.
You and your profile
- Drag your photos into order, on your profile and in albums. The first one is your main photo.
- Your profile is one screen with tabs: Profile, Photos, Albums and Health.
- Up to 25 Into tags, and the editor says how many you have.
- A profile shows every standing someone holds, not just the first.
The map and the grid
- You're first in the grid, as your pin is on the map.
- A spot's tile with no photo shows the streets around it.
- Someone who leaves the map leaves the grid too, without a reload, and a status change shows everywhere at once.
- Spots carry tags, and search finds spots by them.
- Swipe a card up for a spot's page, or for someone's full profile with Plus. A spot's card has Check in, Directions and Details at its foot.
- Report a bug from the grid too.
- On the status sheet, Post to the Wall sits right under Traveling.
- Every badge, dot and mark says what it means: hover over it, focus it or long-press it.
- The tour shows the long press, and stops at Layers, Filters, Report a bug, the bell and your icon.
- Sheets and cards slide in and out, and taps get an answer. With Reduce Motion on, short fades instead.
Before you join
- A link to Feral Mode Live shows a proper preview in chats and on social media, and an invite link gets a card of its own.
- City pages link each kind of spot to its part of Cruising Spots in Learn more.
A grid view, a new profile editor, and spots for everyone
The map has a grid view: the people and spots around you as tiles. Your profile has a new editor, with Fucking, Sucking, Meeting and Expression. And everyone can use a spot now, photos included. Everything else that changed, from the whole country on the map to notes on people, is below.
The map and spots
- The map covers the whole country, not just Colorado, with thousands of cruising spots already on it.
- More kinds of spot: locker rooms, arcades, parking lots, cruising grounds and campgrounds each have their own.
- Everyone can use a spot now, Anonymous and Pending included: check in, say On my way, leave a tip, flag it, post from it.
- Spots have photos. Add one from the spot's menu.
- Star a spot to keep it. Your starred spots get their own tab on the Wall.
- Every spot has a Wall of its own: posts from the people checked in there.
- Too far away to check in? Tap On my way and say when you'll get there.
- Directions open your phone's maps app, from a spot's card or its page.
- A spot can carry its own phone number and website. Report a spot, or its details, from its menu.
- Groups on the map always show how many people are in them, and nothing stacks on top of anything else.
- A pin you dropped by hand can go back to where your phone is.
The grid
- The map has a grid view: the people and spots around you as tiles, nearest first. The button beside the search switches between them, and whichever you used last is what you open to.
- A spot's tile shows what it is, how far, who's there, when someone last checked in and how busy its Wall is, with a tick when it's verified. Tap its type to read about that kind of place, its distance to see it on the map.
- A person's tile has their position, status, the map, Tap or Knock, and their profile, all one tap away.
- Back works the way you'd expect: from a card to the grid, from a popup to wherever you were.
You and your profile
- A new profile editor in three parts: About you, Statistics and Preferences, each a tap from your menu.
- Say what you're into: Fucking, with where you sit from Top to Bottom, and Sucking, receive, give or both. Sucking without Fucking makes your badge Side, with an arrow for which way.
- Meeting: host only, prefer to host, prefer to travel, meet out or travel only.
- Expression is one choice, Masc through Sissy, or Fluid.
- Every icon for a person says the same things the same way: online, their tier, their status, their position, their standing.
- Settings that are one choice look alike everywhere, and so do switches.
- Upload a photo and its settings open right away: mark it SFW or make it your main one. Album photos have the same settings, and can move to your profile.
- Share an album straight from it, and see when someone last looked.
- Tile size, how vague your pin is, sits with Show on the map in Visibility.
- Text boxes grow as you type.
Building the network
- Review 5 people at the Gate or bring in 5 who get vetted in any 30 days, and Plus is free for the next 30.
- Your circle: everyone down your line of vouches who got vetted, as one number, with badges at 10, 50 and 250.
- Gatekeeper levels show as badges at the Gate, like your circle's.
- Add places to the map to earn the Scout, Tracker and Trailblazer badges.
- The Invite button sits on the map beside Status.
Chat and people
- Your Inbox keeps its tabs in view while you read a thread, and the threads tab is called Messages.
- With Plus, keep a private note on anyone: a name only you see, a rating, vibes and warnings. Save numbers and addresses from a chat into it, and export it as a phone contact. Saving a note takes you back to them.
- With Plus, filter for people who can host or can travel, and see who looked at you.
- Phone numbers, emails and addresses in a message are links: tap to call, write, or open your maps app.
- Change your quick replies in Settings.
- Gone ghost, you're still reachable by the people you already talk to.
Getting around
- Every release tells you once what's new, with a page of its own. Turn that off under New releases in Notifications.
- The app checks for a new version when you come back to it, so an update shows up sooner.
- The map opens faster: the first screen loads only what it draws.
- Sign in with a passkey: your face, fingerprint or PIN, no email link. After an email sign-in, the app offers to save one.
- A short tour walks you through the Gate, the Wall, the Inbox, the map, the grid and statuses. Find it again at the top of Learn more.
- Learn more has guides to cruising, staying safe and how this place works, and they open before you sign in too. The Safety Center has quick exit and emergency numbers.
- Private things blur when you switch apps, and a private photo carries the handle of whoever's looking at it.
- Announcements from Feral Mode show behind the bell.
- When the rules, the Terms or the Privacy Policy change, you're asked to accept them again.
- Something broken? Report a bug from the menu or the bug button on the map.
Before you join
- Every city has a public page with a live snapshot of its map, and How it works explains the app to anyone thinking of coming in.
